I've been operating
websites since 1994. From my first site (1 page consisting of scot/english/irishmen
jokes) I've come a long way - nowadays I run a dozen active sites, with total
visitors in the 40,000 region and make money solely on the web for a living.
I'll describe and
offer my opinions on the type of things that will help make running your own website
more profitable. Use the menu on your right to navigate between the sections.
Whilst I'm a UK webmaster, this advice applies to anybody, whether you're based
in US or on some remote hilltop in Tasmania - the beauty of webmastering is that
you can do it from the comfort of your own bedroom...
There's a myriad
of options available to webmasters. You can get lost in the vast choice, but I'll
save you the time by only recommending the programs and sites that I personally
use on a day to day basis.
